Junior Group Instruction

Junior Golf School

The Lake Bluff Golf Club's Junior Golf School is designed to introduce junior to the game of golf and develop their skills to potentially participate at a competitive level in the future.  The Junior Golf School has three levels of curriculum to achieve these goals.

Level I: (Age 8 - 10)
Level I is a basic introduction into the game.  The Professional Staff will work with junior golfers to establish sound fundamentals they can take with them as they develop.  Instruction will focus on set-up, grip, short game and full swing.  Student in Level I will work exclusively at the Practice Range and Short Game Area.

Level II: (Age 11 - 12)
Level II begins to refine the junior golfer's abilities.  Working with the fundamentals learned in Level I, students in Level II will continue to develop their full swing and short game.  Instruction will focus on the short game and full swing to give students the opportunity to take their swing on the golf course.  One day of this clinic will be on the golf course, allowing students to face situations only found on the golf course.

Level III: (Age 13 - 15)
Level III completes the curriculum of the Junior Golf School.  Upon completion of Level III, students will have the tools necessary to play the game at a competitive level.  Instruction will be more individual, focusing on the students weaknesses and providing them with solutions to their problems.  Scoring will be heavily emphasised, and on-course experiences will be simulated creating a well rounded golfer.  Two days of this clinic will be on the golf course.
