The 2010 Lake County Senior Amateur's 38-year history continues this year at the Lake Bluff Golf Club in Lake Bluff, Illinois. The Lake County Senior Amateur is a one-day 18-hole handicap event and is open to any amateur golfer regardless of residency. All competitors must be at least 55 years of age on or before August 6, 2010. The number of flights will be determined on field size.
Prizes will be issued in the form of merchandise credits to top gross and net scores in each flight.
FINAL RESULTS
Event The Lake County Senior Amateur is an 18-hole stroke play championship contested at the Lake Bluff Golf Club. In case of a tie for the championship, a sudden death playoff will take place following the posting of the final score. Playoff holes will be determined by the tournament committee.
Eligibility The Lake County Senior Amateur is open to all amateurs regardless of residency who are at least 55 years of age on or before August 6, 2010.
Entry Deadline The entry deadline for the 2010 Lake County Senior Amateur is Monday, August 2, 2010 at 6:00 PM. All entries must be received by the Pro Shop before this time.
Entry Fee General Entry Fee: $80 LBGC Member Entry Fee: $50
Late entries will not be accepted under any conditions. All entry fees are non-refundable after the entry deadline has passed with the exception of family emergencies, family death or medical emergencies. All refund requests due to medical emergencies must be accompanied by documentation from a physician.
Flights Flights will be determined by the tournament committee considering the size of the field.
Motorized Golf Carts A motorized golf cart is included in the entry fee.
Starting Times & Groupings Contestants shall be responsible for their starting times and groupings. All starting times and grouping will be listed on www.lakebluffgolfclub.com. Starting times will also be available by calling the Lake Bluff Golf Club after Tuesday, August 2, 2010.
Spike Policy Metal and/or soil penetrating spikes will not be allowed at the Lake County Amateur. Penalty for breach of this rule is disqualification.
Dress Code Contestants may not wear blue jeans and may not wear collarless t-shirts or tank tops. Contestants may wear tailored knee length shorts. Caddies may wear either long pants or tailored knee length shorts. Blue jeans, cutoffs, t-shirts or shirts with no collar shall not be worn.
Conduct While on Lake Bluff Golf Club property during competitive rounds; players and caddies shall conduct themselves in a professional manner. The tournament committee reserves the right to remove a player from the competition for; non-competitiveness; conduct unbecoming a professional by the player; conduct unbecoming a professional by the player's caddie.
Rules of Golf Play shall be governed in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the United States Golf Association, as modified by the Local Rules governing play at the Lake Bluff Golf Club. Questions or disputes shall be settled by the tournament committee.
Tournament Information
Lunch Lunch is included in the entry fee.
Starting Times Pairings will be completed by the tournament committee for both Saturday and Sunday rounds. Groups will be no larger than three (3) players. Pairings will be completed with the consideration of competitors' requested starting times.
