Description of Events:
Weekly Events:
Weekly Events will be run from Monday through Sunday. Each weekly event will be an individual event with prize money awarded to the low gross and net scores each week. Handicaps will be 100% of the current handicap revision and adjusted accordingly to the tees played. A gross and net skins game will also be run during each Weekly Event. Non-Members of the Men’s Club are also encouraged to participate on a weekly basis. The entry fee for non-members is $12 per week.
Opening Best Ball Event:
The Opening Best Ball Event will be played Friday, June 4th, at 1:00pm. The format is one best ball of the twosome. This will be a net event using 100% of each player’s current USGA index. The fee for this event will be $40 for members of the Men’s Club. Food, a riding cart and entry fee is included in this price. Non-Members of the Men’s Club are welcome to participate in the event. The fee for non-members will be $70. All non-members must have current USGA handicap. The Opening Best Balls Event will also include proximity contests.
High-Summer Stableford Event:
The High-Summer Stableford Event will be played Friday, July 16th, at 1:00pm. The format is combined points of the twosome using a modified stableford point system. This will be a net event using 100% of each player’s current USGA index. The fee for this event will be $40 for members of the Men’s Club. Food, a riding cart and entry fee is included in this price. Non-Members of the Men’s Club are welcome to participate in the event. The fee for non-members will be $70. All non-members must have current USGA handicap. The High-Summer Stableford Event will also include proximity contests.
Closing Scramble Event:
The Closing Scramble Event will be played Friday, August 20th, at 1:00pm. The format is a twosome scramble. This will be a net event using 35% of the lowest player’s handicap and adding 15% of the highest player’s handicap. The fee for this event will be $40 for members of the Men’s Club. Food, a riding cart and entry fee is included in this price. Non-Members of the Men’s Club are welcome to participate in the event. The fee for non-members will be $70. All non-members must have current USGA handicap. The Closing Scramble Event will also include proximity contests.
Season Long Points Race
During the 2010 season all members of the Men’s Club will earn points during each Weekly Event. One point will be earned for each player a member beats during a given Weekly Event. A half point will be earned for each player a member ties. Players will earn points in both a gross and net category. These points will be combined to determine a member’s total points earned for each week of competition. The total sum of all points earned during a members five highest point totals will determine their season long point total. Top point-earners will receive additional prize money at the end of the Men’s Club Season.
Men’s Club Rules and Regulations
- All members and non-member must have a valid USGA handicap index to participate.
- During Weekly Events all players must check-in with the Pro Shop and receive an official Men’s Club scorecard BEFORE beginning play.
- Only ONE round may count towards an individual Weekly Event.
- A participant must have someone else in the group to ATTEST the score for his score to count in a Weekly Event.
- Non-Members of the Men’s Club are not eligible to participate in the Season Long Points Race.
- Once an official Men’s Club round has been started, it must be completed on the same day. Exceptions to this rule (i.e. weather delay) will be made at the Professional Staff’s discretion.
- All USGA rules apply to Men’s Club play.
