Individual Match Play (Flighted)

$15 / Extra Qualifying Round


Qualifying
Qualifying will take place between July 8 and 25.  The low 16 qualifiers will be seeded in a single elimination bracket.  Ties during qualifying will be broken by scorecard playoff beginning on the 18th hole and going backwards until a winner is determined.  If eligible for the same flight, 2010 Flight Champions do not need to qualify for the 2011 Championship.  Participants may attempt to qualify a second time for an additional entry fee.  The lowest of the two scores will be used to determine qualifying spot.

Match Play Format
All matches will be played at scratch in flight.  If there is a tie after 18 holes, players will continue to the first tee and play in a sudden death format until a winner is determined.

Declaration to Qualify
All participants must declare their intention to qualify prior to their round beginning by completing a registration form and submitting payment for the entry fee.  All qualifying rounds without payment prior to the beginning of play will be void.

Flights
Championship Flight: 7.7 and Under USGA Index
“A” Flight: 7.8 - 11.3 USGA Index
“B” Flight: 11.4 - 15.0 USGA Index
“C” Flight: 15.1 - 19.3 USGA Index
“D” Flight: 19.4 and Over USGA Index

Participants in the “C” & “D” Flights will compete from the White Tees -- All others from the Black Tees

Prizes
Flight Champion: $250 Membership Credit & 1/2 of Qualifying Entry Fees in Flight
Runner-Up: 1/2 of Qualifying Entry Fees in Flight
All prize money will be paid in the form of golf shop credit.

Eligibility
The Lake Bluff Men’s Club Championship is open to all those who purchased a season pass for the 2011 season at the Lake Bluff Golf Club.  Any participants who do not have a valid USGA Handicap will be placed in the Championship Flight.
