There are few things in the world of golf that are as sacred or traditional as the Master's Tournament. Every April, golf fans look forward to seeing their favorite players tee off in pursuit of the coveted green jacket.
Typically for us in the Chicago area, Master's week also signals the start of the golf season. It is usually a time when we can set aside the snow shovels, winter boots and bags of salt in our garages and make room for our clubs that we have missed all winter long. Even though we may have had to break out the winter boots one last time this morning, we can take comfort knowing better weather is just around the corner.
That first round played after a long winter, is one of the greatest joys a golfer can have. This is one of the reasons we love golf so much and why the Master's holds a special place in our hearts.
